Creating a window pulls is the process of making a window look the same as our eye sees it. Cameras have a hard time doing this. The first step is to take multiple exposures on the inside. The Photo below is an edited high dynamic range photo (HDR). Overall the photo looks great but the windows are over exposed.

While on site we will take additional exposures of the windows. We adjust our focus point to the window and lower our shutter speed. This will allow us to have a proper exposure of the outside of the windows. Below is an example. You can see that the inside is under exposed but the outside is just right.

Next we us photoshop to merge the two photos. We stack the photos then use a layer mask. Using the brush tool we remove the overexposure in the windows. Below is an example of that process about half way completed.

Below is a completed window pull. The process does double to triple our editing time. But, it does give the photos a magazine finish. When selling make sure to clean your windows. In some cases we will not use this process if the windows are dirty. Dirty windows will look worse when pulled.
